Hello, November

Isn't it crazy how fast time flies by? September and October have came and past, and November is already here. College makes my days run together. This semester has been going well. I am enjoying my classes and am still surviving. This stage of my life is very interesting because I have experienced some of the best things in my life, but have also been through a lot.

Since it is November and it is the time of gratitude I wanted to share what I am grateful for.
  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ. The knowledge of this gospel has brought so many blessings into my life and I don't know what I would do without it. I would not be the same person if I didn't have the gospel in my life. I am grateful for all the things that come through the gospel. Temples. Eternal Families.
  • My Father. I am so grateful for all of the things he has done for me in my life. He has been the provider and the protector. I am grateful that he is a worthy priesthood holder. He is funny (sometimes I don't like to admit that part).
  • My Mother. She is the prettiest lady I know. I am grateful to have such a wonderful mother, that loves me and takes care of me. I am so grateful that she sacrifices so much for everyone in my family. I am particularly grateful that she will listen to all of my ridiculousness and she loves me anyway.
  • Ashley and John. I am grateful for Ashley's example. She is a very hard worker, juggling work and taking care of three children. I am grateful that John takes care of his family and is also a hard worker.
  • Bethany and Drew. I am grateful for the example Bethany has set for me. She graduated from college and is now a stay at home mother, but also works from home. I am grateful that Bethany and Drew are willing to help me with little things. I am grateful that Drew is a good father and also a good provider for his family.
  • Shane and Amber. I am so grateful that Shane has always been there for me. He is a great older brother. He is one of my best friends. I am also grateful to have such a great sister-in-law. Shane couldn't have picked a better girl. She is easy to get along with and is fun to talk to.
  • Alyssa, Sierra, Samantha and Blakely. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be an aunt. These little girls make me laugh and I love them so much.
  • My friends. I am so grateful for the wonderful friends that I have. They are amazing and are such great examples to me. They are always there for me and we have great times together.
  • The simple things in life.
  •  My health (haha if you know me, you will know why this is funny)
  •  Love.
  • Food, Shelter and Clothes. The necessities of life.
  • Beautiful scenery.
  • Laughter.
  • Tender Mercies.
  • The Earth, the free country I live in.
There are so many things in life that I am grateful for, but cannot think of them all at this moment in time. However, something that keeps coming up in my life, is the idea of a gratitude journal. November should not be the only time in our lives when we find the things in our lives that we are grateful for. I think I am going to start a gratitude journal. Everyday you write something you are grateful for, not matter what! If you are having a really bad and stressful day, you still have to find something you are grateful for. The Lord has blessed with so many things. Even if they are just something small.

So I ask you a question.
What are you THANKFUL for?
Here is a nice little video to get you thinking.
Until next time,
Courtney
